SWEET FRENCH TOAST

INGREDIENTS:

  • 20ml Vegan Cream
  • 1 Tsp Cornflour
  • 1 Tsp Icing Sugar
  • 120ml Crackd The No-Egg Egg
  • ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 4 Thick Slices of 2-day-old Bread (better if slightly stale)
  • 1 Tbsp Vegan Butter

Optional

  • 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tsps Freshly Grated Orange Zest
  • Fresh Berries
  • Whipped Vegan Double Ceam

METHOD:

1. Dissolve the cornflour and icing sugar in the vegan cream.

2. Add the Crackd The No-Egg Egg and cinnamon and whisk until completely smooth.

3. Dip the sliced bread into the no egg mixture making sure they are completely soaked.

4. Place the vegan butter in a non stick frying pan on a medium heat.

5. When the vegan butter starts to bubble lower the bread into the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

6. Turn the bread over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until that side is also golden brown.

7. Turn out onto a plate and decorate with the syrup, berries or your topping of choice, serve with the whipped vegan cream.
